Bruce Davidson born September 51933 in Oak Park Illinois is an American photographer He began taking picture at the age of ten After graduated from High school Davidson attended the Rochester Institute of technology and Yale University He became a magnum member in 1958 His famous works are Civil Rights Movement East 100th street Subway and Brooklyn Gang Nearly 45 years after Davidson first visited Los Angeles he returned to the city with a vastly different shooting agenda This photo has been shown at Ross Gallery by Bruce Davidson was taken from palm trees We are seeing in this picture that how steady is palm trees It rises to the sky In Los Angeles people think about their drive or they think about their jobs or number of things but they are surrounding by palm trees all kinds of plants and flower We could see the relation ship between city and plants through green spaces It seems like they reached to the sky There are clouds on sky which is nice in photo Palm trees grew up parallel with each other in image These kinds of plant do not need water and even they are not making a shadow Using a 4x5 view camera on a tripod slows his photographic process and allows this contemplative image to take shapeThis picture in Rose Gallery is not Black and white in the original picture sky is blue and top of the palm trees are green In Los Angeles a range of nature that goes from desert to what he calls a Maine-like abundance struck him He is especially drawn to the palm trees their brittle leaves their rough-textured trunks the shadows they project their spiky silhouettes at dusk Palm trees are very lyrical because They dont give shade and they dont produce a lot of photosynthesis Davidson said Behind those palm trees are Boulevard and some car parked beside the street in the dark side of
