Angela's feedback:
"Your essay starts off on a strong note because you present a solid overview of Poe’s life, but the essay ends on a weak note because you don’t analyze the two short stories you decided to highlight. Further development is needed to help the reader understand the significance of the short stories and how they are inspired by Poe’s real-life experiences. In addition, while you’re great about providing citations for quoted material, the use of back-to-back quotes is generally discouraged in academic writing since it can give the reader the impression that you’re leaning too heavily on others to support your work instead of providing your own commentary. The title of books (including collections of poems) and magazines should be italicized. A comma should come before a closing quotation mark, and a parenthetical citation should be placed after a closing quotation mark."
