Hannibal or as many people like to name him the father of strategy he is also was known as the greatest enemy of Rome The decisions that made by Hannibal have changed the history Hannibal was a Carthaginian leader who was born in 247 BC at the age of nine he went with his father who was a general in the Carthaginian military in the first Punic war to Spain After Hamilcar lost the war against Rome he made his son to swear to be the enemy of Rome Therefore the young Carthaginian was trained to be a military In 229 BC Hasdrubal whose Hannibal brother-in-law became leather of Spain army Eight years later Hannibal became the leather of cartage army on Spin after his brother-in-low was assassinated When he tokes the control of the Carthaginian army in Spain he was reedy to make the biggest decision in his life Moreover he made the decision that going to change history of the Mediterranean for next six hundred years Hannibal wanted war with Rome therefore he attacked Saguntum town in 219 BC witch was allied with Rome The answer came as he wanted war with Rome When Rom decided to attack Cartage in Africa and new Cartage in Spain Hannibal decided to move the war to Italy because Rome rolled the see thus Hannibal decided to go by land through the Alps mountains In addition of going to fight Roman in Italy Hannibal had to leave some of his army to protect New Cartage so in August 218 BC Hannibal army moved with 50000 men and more then fifty-war elephants in his journey through Alps While Hannibal was crossing Alps he lost more then half of his army and most of his elephant even though some people think that going through Alps was Hannibals biggest mistake and he could go around the Alps and
