The nature and its laws was hidden in the dark night God said let Newton araise and there was light Alexander Pope Biography Childhood Newton was born December 25th 1642 on a farm in the little village Woolsthorpe in Lincolnshire England He was named after his father Isaac Newton who died 3 months earlier The father had been a wealthy farmer who couldnt even write hes own name He was considered a lazy arrogant and characterless man His mother Hannah Newton was daughter of a poor local farmer and inspite of the lazy father she was a hardworking and modest women Newton was born too early and many expected that he wouldnt live the day But he proved that he was stronger then he looked and survived At the age of 3 Newtons mother got married to Barnabas Smith a 63 years old priest and moved to North Witham Newton was left behind in Woolsthorpe and was taken care of by his grandmother Newton did never forget the experience and through his life he suffered by many uncontrolled fit of rage paranoia and psychic instability When Newton was 10 years old Priest Barnaba Smith died and Newtons mother returned to Woolsthorpe as a wealthy woman School At the age of 12 Newton was sent to a lodging school in Grantham 15 km from Woolstorpe Here he was thought Latin biology math geography and classic Greek But the school systems ideas and ways of teaching was old fashioned so the young Newton was quickly getting bored and became one of the worst in hes class According to Newton himself his incredible intelligens was hibernating until a bully from his class kicked him in the stomach Newton challenged him for a fight on the graveyard He wasnt as strong as the other kid but thanks to his will and determination he won But that
