Hanan Elaraby Period 5 22705 Ghandi one word says it all Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar in present day wich is now known as Gujar257t he was born on October 2 1869 He lived from 1869 to 1948 he died when he was seventy-nine 79 years old When Ghandi was thrieteen years old still in high school he married a women by the name of Kasterbura Ghandi is also known as Mahatma Gandhi Mahatma means- esteemed one in India a title bestowed on somebody who is deeply revered for wisdom and virtue Mohandas Gandhi went to England to study law He went to a University in England in eighteen-eighty-eight 1888 and got his degree in law In eighteen-ninety four 1819 Ghandi founded the Natal Indian Congress All of Ghandis methods are called Ashimsa Of course Mohandas Ghandi was a non-violent person everything he did was non-violent Instead of asking for war and starting riots he protested and boycotted many of Englands products Many people were surprised and astonished by his methods that he used Many people followed him because he only wanted peace he did not want war He was also a vegetarian Ghandi was a man that would move mountains as many of his followers would say They say this because he would not give up until he reached his goal or goals he reached his goals by doing non-violent things Ghandis major goal was to unite all the Indian people Ghandi was also a man who did not break his word he made his own rules and laws if he did not like a law that the English gave the Indian people then he would not follow it As I have said before he did everything in a non-violent manner he also had his followers do everything in a non-violent manner Because if he had not then most of his teachings would have been in vain He is
