Thank god its Friday was all that was going through my head After a stressful week one of many I was finally ready to head home for the holidays Nobody ever told me how frustrating and difficult being a nursing student was going to be Id give anything to have one week without a quiz or exam that required multiple hours of hard work and memorizing but thats what I signed on for right I had to remind myself daily that itll be worth it in the end The holidays were like heaven to me No homework no worries and fun times filled with family and friends This was the moment everyone has been waiting for Christmas break and the end of the semester All that stood in my way was two lectures and a lab As I made my way over to the lecture hall I realized how perfect it is outside The skies were blue with not a cloud in the sky The little snow we received over that last month was melting off the trees and grass causing the world to shimmer It had to be at least 40 degrees outside abnormal for that type of year The professor let us out early for lab something that never happens It was already turning into a great day Coming from northern Maine has always been a challenge Although its only about a three-hour drive to my house driving there is a very boring task Interstate I-95 runs from college to Houlton and driving down it youre lucky to see a single car The roads are pretty straight and its very easy to space out or fall asleep Because of this my friend Danielle and I take turns driving home This time was Danielles turn Usually its just us two but that day another guy joined us As we load up the little cobalt we realized just how much stuff the three of us
