"You've done a great job of summarizing the story so your readers can understand the central themes and conflict, even if they haven't read it themselves. If your assignment is to write a summary, then you're definitely on the right track. However, if you're expected to provide an analysis of the themes of the book, you may want to focus more on your own thoughts about the work than the narrative itself.

Your introduction should give your reader an overview of the purpose of your paper before you get into specifics in the subsequent paragraphs.

Make sure you address issues you bring up in each paragraph. Your second paragraph discusses conflict, but the summary of the narrative in that paragraph doesn't include any conflict.

Make sure to clean up formatting and conventional issues. For example, direct quotes should be in quotation marks, and it customary to describe the action in a work of fiction using the present tense."
