Change Pace Transition from HS to college The bell rang my fifth period government exam was over and school was officially out My last summer of high school had started and I was soon to become a freshman in college The only thing on my mind was relaxing and having fun with my friends Their thoughts were the same except this was our last summer together before we went to college So we knew we had to make the best of our time because change was forcing its weight upon us Since the very early parts of elementary school up to the end of high school I had the same group of good friends We would always invite each other over for birthdays and other events that involved fun Of course I had other friends but these were my best friends Most of us had joined choir in junior high and stuck with it till the end We immensely enjoyed it because we would be together having fun singing We took advantage of the boundless time school gave us together and thought nothing of what would come after that But once we were actually at the graduation ceremony in our cap and gowns it finally hit us This would be the splitting of our class After summer everyone would go their separate ways either attaining a higher education working for crummy rates or just living with their parents But one thing was apparent routine was diminishing and change was taking over Before summer even began my parents repeatedly told me to get a full time job to pay the bills and my debt but I took what I got a part time job at Best Buy as a cashier It got me by with my bills but I
