Whitney's feedback:
"You made some excellent points in your comparison of Le Morte d'Arthur and Camelot! In particular, I found the contrast between the way you perceived the character of Mordred in both works interesting. In order to strengthen this paper and earn a higher grade, I'd recommend revising the format, elaborating more on your points and proofreading thoroughly. Your essay is a bit hard to follow at times because it doesn't have clear distinctions between ideas. To fix this, I'd create an intro paragraph, one paragraph each about mood, tone, and characterization, and a conclusion paragraph. Your discussion of the characterization was good and drew in examples from both works, which helped you effectively compare and contrast. However, your depiction of mood and tone could use more details - you say that the mood and tone of the two works differ in most parts, but you only provided information about the tone of Camelot. Add some information about Le Morte d'Arthur here as well! You also pivoted to a discussion about fate and character actions near the end, but that doesn't directly tie into the rest of the paragraph, so I'd recommend adding it to the characterization section or creating a whole new section to discuss the role of fate in the plot. You could also lay out more details to support your points, like when you said that Le Morte d'Arthur is more mysterious, magical, and realistic than Camelot -- how so? And is it possible to be both more magical AND more realistic? Finally, this essay would benefit from proofreading -- there are several spelling and grammar errors that detract from the points you're making and make it difficult to read. Fixing those would go a long way toward improving this paper!"
