As regards the writing, I do notice occasional errors, including some punctuation issues (as in the first sentence), and several moments where the syntax gets a bit garbled or overcomplicated. Reading aloud is a great tool for catching this latter issue, helping produce a clear and efficient piece that lets the reader focus on the ideas.

My main concern is a higher-order concern regarding the analytical framework, which eschews the religious context of each text. This creates a major gap in the argumentation, especially in the conclusion, which makes claims about history and religious belief. Whether you set it in the broad context of Christian eschatology, or consider Dante's Catholicism versus Shakespeare's Protestantism as accounting for the difference, this particular thesis will feel speculative or untethered without grounding in some source-based awareness of the authors' biographies or the times they were writing in."
