The Clinton Affair Through our history ideals as well as morals change What is publicly discussed and recognized now would be considered unheard of 30 years ago It is the era of free speech and less than moderate sex liaisons Should moral values be of a strict nature for everyone or should they only apply to those in the spotlight Where should media boundaries be drawn and where is the line between personal and private in lives of Americans The media should pay less attention to sex scandals in American democracy and more time on the future and safety of our country The Bill Clinton affair is like the Kennedy affair in relation to their extramarital affairs presidential tasks and public influence The Clinton scandal is frequently depicted on the front page of newspapers as well as the leading story on the evening news Clinton is portrayed as a sex addict and a variety of other immoral names and titles The question at hand is sex Sexual affairs and infidelity are very common this day in age However there have always been sexual affairs and infidelity The difference is that they are now more recognized and spoken of freely Should this make the Clinton affair worse in nature than any other sexual liaison If you or I go out and have a sexual affair or commit adultery should we be subject to media abuse and criticism Would we risk loosing our jobs and our esteem In the lives of most Americans this sort of blackballing would be considered an invasion of privacy It is an infringement on our personal rights as citizens With so much media abuse it would be hard for anyone to go about their daily tasks stress free With the presidency comes added stress being that it is the most important job in America Bill Clinton deals with matters that could affect our security and the future of our country
