As you move forward, I recommend spending some time streamlining and tightening up the body paragraphs, which are currently quite long and dense with plot summary. You may also want to consider giving each character more than one paragraph, depending on how you group the evidence; use a reverse outline technique to get a sense of the main currents in each paragraph and how best to structure the information.

Another example, more at the level of style, comes from the next paragraph; consider: "Amanda Wingfield, mother of Tom and Laura, is a middle-aged..." or any other combination that fuses the current two sentences into a punchier introduction that keeps things moving for the reader."
