The Fight To play lacrosse for a middle school team was a true passion when I was in elementary school In my mind lacrosse was the center of everything It was my fun and it was always on my mind To play on a middle school lacrosse team however I had to be in middle school This rule made me furious when I was in fifth grade my last year in elementary school Then I started sixth grade and things were a little bit different Finally old enough to play sports on a middle school team I prayed every night that I would make the lacrosse team Every day after school I would play lacrosse in a small grassy field not far from my house with my best friends Tom Jeff Matt Kevin and Josh We would practice from the time that we got home from school until our parents made us come inside for dinner Each time we played we had more fun than the time before and simultaneously became rather good at lacrosse Making the team was a goal deeply embedded in my heart However subconsciously I felt that I would make the team Before I knew it the first Monday of spring arrived lacrosse tryouts More than ready to tryout everyone anxiously waited outside the gym after school After a few minutes I started to look around I was the only girl trying out for the team I contemplated this thought for a while and the thought started to sicken me Just a bunch of sissy girls go to our school I said to my friends as they nodded their heads in agreement All of a sudden my thoughts were broken by the ranting voice of the lacrosse coach In my office Reynolds he bellowed loudly at me As I was walking nervously towards him I could tell that there was something wrong by the look on his face Your
