There are many reasons to improve the school systems of the State of Nebraska It all begins with the need to better educate our students Teachers and parents want what is best for their students However each group has a tendency to keep their own interests in mind when it comes to the betterment of the students we are educating To improve the school systems and the education of the students the schools must keep two areas in mind First the requirements of the students need to be met This includes nature vs nurture basic needs and the variety of intelligences each child has Secondly what is best for society needs to be apparent in the classroom and in the school This is important because the students we are teaching are tomorrows leaders and thinkers They need to be aware of what is around them and what has happened in the past and what they can do to improve society When it comes to the needs of the students many ideas come to mind Those ideas include nature vs nurture the basic needs of the students and the multiple intelligences that each child may have Nature is the biological make-up of each person If the genetic material creates a student who develops at a faster pace than other students that person may need to be treated differently than others For example when female students mature at a faster rate than the males they are going through some extreme changes in their lives and need to be treated differently enough to give breathing room for the changes in their lives It is important to keep rules and regulations that same but they need to be flexible enough to allow for biological changes in the students At the same time the male students are going through puberty and are challenging each other for spots on the athletic team in the classroom for the affection of the opposite
