Do you agree with Pascals gamble on the existence of god I do not agree with Pascals gamble for many reasons Looking religiously Pascal was a Catholic Christian What does this prove you may ask It means he hasnt been looking properly at his argument There are millions of religions and each one of them says if you choose the wrong God you will not be rewarded with heaven So we have to add a factor that there are thousands of religions Now the chances of winning Pascals gamble have thinned dramatically Some religions do not even need a god for example Buddhism Thinking about it Pascals gamble can also mean that you are believing in all religions The problem is that many of them will not accept you if you believe in other religions Considering Judaism according to the noahide laws you can only get something or be rewarded if you only believe in him Pascal has misunderstood that if you believe in religion and if there is no god nothing bad will happen to you An even greater example is from the Quran If anyone desires a religion other than Islam submission to Allah never will it be accepted of him and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost All spiritual good Most theists believe that this question is very simple Their answer is that their god is the right god so they never think that they will go to hell from the god that they never believed in There are two variables that Pascal has forgot to add that if you believe in god That is time and money Most religions not all require people to stay at a place of religious value at certain days or require them to donate money If we didnt believe in god we could use that money for a useful purpose that would make you feel much better
