How many people have ever heard of the United States Foreign Service or a United States Diplomat How many people even know what they are and what they do These individuals are behind the scenes day after day working to keep America a safe place for you and your family to live But even with all this many of us still remain indifferent to their job and work and the safety that they provide Presidents and some prominant government officials particularly those who are politically motivated seem to get the credit when international wars are averted or won They also tend to get the blame when things do not go the way we want Why should they get the credit for these things when in realtity most of the actual work is done by people who are not known by name or occupation to the general public The Bush administration is being acknowledged for the systematic way that it has delt with attacks on America so far This is good but did anyone stop to think that maybe there was something or someone else at work here Yes Bush and his associates have done a good job but so have many others that have not been noticed such as the diplomats The United States of America is being supported and backed by numerous countries such as Russia and Canada and organizations such as NATO North Atlantic Treaty Assosiation Many well known and powerful leaders are also supporting the United States as well But how exactly does the United States get its allies And how do we get people in other countries to support us The answer to these questions is frequently the United States Forign Service Officers and United States Diplomats These people know the language of the people and their culture because they have studied it and have lived there in the midst of it all They know how to ask for help from
