Roman Legacy The Roman Empire started as just a little farming community in Italy It eventually turned out to be one of the biggest powers of its time Many people have studied how or why this empire eventually fell under I think the real question at hand should be how it stayed alive for so long The Roman Legacy is not what the Roman Empire had while it was in control but what impressions it had when it fell under Unlike Greece the Roman Empire was able to unite its state and become a large nation power Many of the governments issues the Roman Empire had while in charge were left behind to many other powers One being the church which used many of the governmental tactics that were created by the Roman Empire Another group that ruled after the fall of the Roman Empire that used parts of their government was the barbarian states Also many eastern emperors used parts of the government One of the biggest parts of the Roman Empire that were left behind was the Christian church The Christian church was started in the Roman Empire and continued still after the downfall of the Empire Today Christianity is still one of the largest religions in practice More than half of the world practices Christianity which is the belief in one god Another part of the Roman Legacy which I consider to be the biggest one would have to be the Latin language Most every language that exists today including the English language comes from the Latin language In schools everywhere to day the Latin language is taught As you can see the Roman Empire survived many of their traditions even after the fall of the Empire These traditions are not just any old tradition but traditions that are greatly used today Thats why the Roman Legacy is so important Many people use these traditions and do
