Coca-Cola is one of the best sodas on the market right now It is my favorite soda because of its taste and how it refreshes me when I am thirsty In the coming paragraphs I am going to talk about the history of Coca-Cola and how it became one of the greatest drinks ever It all started back in the year 1886 when Dr John Stith Pemberton introduced Coca-Cola in Atlanta Georgia He was a pharmacist who put together caramel- colored syrup in a three-legged brass kettle in his backyard He started selling it when he brought a jug filled with it down to his pharmacy He sold it for five cents and the first average of sales said there were nine drinks sold a day The name Coca-Cola was made at the US Patent and Trademark office in 1893 The Doctors partner suggested that the name Coca-Cola with two unique Cs would look well when they advertise it In the 1930s there were several owners and now the latest advancement came in the fountain dispenser It was first used at the Chicago Worlds fair Everybody seemed to like this invention so it became a great deal in restaurants all over America In 1955 more advancements came in the coke industry with different sized bottles They were known as the king-size or family size bottles They were 10 12 and 26 ounce bottles Then in 1960 came the metal cans of Coca-Cola The cans sent to troops to drink from in the Korean War inspired this Then in 1977 the contour bottle is introduced everywhere This is the bottle people are most familiar with by the advertisements In 1982 a great thing happened to people who needed to loose weight but wanted to still enjoy coke Coca-Cola presented Diet Coke to everyone in the United States In 1985 different variations of Coke started to Arrive like the most popular one Cherry Coke Also
