Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two star-crossed lover ending their lives for each others passion and love Their deaths were caused by many factors such as their destined fate to die unlucky happenings and misfortune and their sudden adolescent passion These elements are the reasons of tragic moments of this Shakespearean play Firstly the stars foretold the two lovers deaths Astrology played an important element in the play because many people during that era believe in it a study of the stars and planets which they thought affected peoples lives The unlucky Romeo and Juliet are called star-crossed lovers Because the stars were in a certain unfavourable position they were destined to die Deaths are predicted throughout the play by both characters For example Romeo referred his death with the stars I fear too early for my mind misgives Some consequence yet hanging in the stars Juliets vision of finding Romeo dead in a tomb methinks I see thee now thou art so low as one dead in the bottom of a tomb Their lives are controlled by stars and not by themselves Therefore Romeo and Juliets deaths were predicted to happen and the foretelling of stars destines it to The death of Romeo and Juliet was caused by unexpected accidents The first example is the unintentional meeting of Peter Peter is a servant of the Capulets household he was given a list of invitations to the designated receivers unfortunately he cannot read so seeks for Romeos advice From this Romeo and Benvolio found out about the feast and this gave the opportunity for Romeo and Juliet to meet They fell in love at first sight a strong bonding between them caused their deaths The meeting of the young lovers was misfortunate because it introduced all the passion and the tragedy later on The non-delivery of Friar Lawrences letter caused great consequences Romeo believed Juliets mocked death which gave
