Bridget's feedback:
"This is a solid draft that shows good control over the material and details of the topic, and your body organization and flow across paragraphs and at the sentence level create a smooth reading experience. Craft an introduction and conclusion to further guide the reader; beyond giving the reader a heads-up for what the essay will be about, you can also set the scene by explaining why these various technologies were needed (e.g., the political situations, social structure) in the introduction. A conclusion will ensure the essay doesn't come to an abrupt halt, allowing the reader time to absorb the main takeaways beyond historical detail.
At the sentence level, go through and make sure each direct quotation is integrated into your writing. This will smooth out flow, assert control over the material, and adhere best to most style guide recommendations."
