Lester William Polsfussw was Known as the king of solid body electric guitars creating one of the most iconic body shapes made Lester born June 9 1915 in Waukesha Wisconsin and died at the age of 94 on August 13 2009 in White plains New York The name Les Paul was his stage name he chose when his mother decided to simplyify their last name Les Paul played many diffrent instruments such as a guitar harmonica banjo and piano Les Paul created many 3 very useful inventions for the music world such as a neck worn harmonica holder multitrack recording and the les paul guitarLester was an inventor but also a musician during his teen years he began to play his music on radio stations and he was in some country bands The year 1941 Les Paul has created his first guitar which was called the log les paul during his early 30s to mid 40s Leter was asked by Gibson Guitar Corp to creat them their first solid body electric guitar The year 1943 Les played on the radio for the Armed Forces Radio Service he formed a trio and ever since then he has played shows with them until Les died Les Paul has changed the just starting world of the electric guitar he has created one of the most desirable guitars in the world made for any style of musicEveryone has herd of Les Paul in the music world he is very inspiring musician and also a great inventor The Les Paul trio was created and until he died played two shows with them in New York Les taught himself how to play the Piano Guitar and Harmonica when he was in his teen years During Les Pauls life he has been inducted into Grammy hall of fame the Rock and Roll hall of fame the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame Les Pauls iconic instrument
