Friendships are a normal everyday part of life well at least for most people The different stages of friendships classifies how good of friends you are or how much work this so called friendship needs In the following summary I will be describing two of my lifetime situations for analysis of Relational Developmental and Maintenance Matt Farmer I classified Matt as my best friend all through elementary school Basically going through all the phases of a friendship With Matt the Initiating Process of meeting was done naturally because we met when we were toddlers at Hyde Park We went from going through the experimenting stage of course probably being one of us sharing GI Joes or something all the way through the avoiding stage in mid elementary back to the Bonding stage and now to the Terminating stage Its funny how things worked out but once I moved to north Austin we lost touch and he went on with his life and I went on with mine The avoiding stage in Elementary occurred when we found different crowds and just didnt mix well All in all its not that I wouldnt talk to the guy if I saw him again but its just that we have moved on and are two totally different people now Probably the most interesting situation Ive gone through would have to be my present girl friend Lindsey Myogeto I met her at a social functiona party for young adults in high school We met I chit chatted with her to so to speak get in the doorInitiating and of course went on through the steps of experimenting and all the way through the bonding stage with her We ended up getting all the way to the avoiding stage because we ended up splitting up in our first relationship together She went her way and I went mine We came back together just by coincidence I called her one random day
