Bridget's feedback:
"You show good control of the material, exploring contentious issues and questions in a largely objective manner that is appropriate to the topic. Keep an eye on word choice, considering precision and tone; for example, the use of "good" in "things aren't as good as they once were" (regarding aging) reads as either too casual or imprecise (alternatives might be sharp, functional). A similar task will be proofreading to catch errors and revising for flow, style, and efficiency. I see, for example, opportunities to fuse the first three or four sentences into one or two punchier opening sentences.
Your critique of testing and models is a solid addition to the discussion, though you might consider grouping the race paragraphs together, rather than introducing race, moving onto meaning, and then back to testing as related to race. You might also consider explaining why the question of which race is smarter even arises, as it is suggested to be an inevitable point -- is this a feature of the intertwined history of eugenics and intelligence testing?"
