An Introduction to Child Labor in Third World Countries

This is the beginning of a paper about child labor in third-world countries. The author discusses how child labor became a serious social issue in Britain during the Industrial Revolution. Having youth employed in factories and mines exposed them to unhealthy conditions. The wages were small, and they were deprived of going to school. This led to them only being capable of doing unskilled labor. Nowadays, most child labor occurs in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and poverty is the primary reason it exists because families depend on the children's earnings.
