Clarisse McClellan is a very special character in the book Fahrenheit451 by Ray Bradbury Clarisse is an outcast because she thinks in a veryabnormal way than the people in her society thinks Montag was likeeveryone else in the book until Clarisse stepped in and showed him thatits possible to think like other people do Many people in her societythough that she was too different that she was a danger to society Thatresulted in a car crash that ended her life but Montag wasdynamically changed by Clarisses actions that had him more interestedin books more Clarisses hobbies include smelling flowers and hikingClarisse is very different curious and a happy person that is notafraid to show her sideClarisse is very different from everyone else in the novel She isntinto watching TV or mingling with people She doesnt do and talk aboutstuff that other people do and talk about in her society Clarisse isvery interested in nature and life Not many people in her society careabout those things In the book Clarisse says to Montag Bet I knowsomething else you dont Theres dew on the grass in the morning Hesuddenly couldnt remember if he had known this or not and it made himquite irritable 9 This shows that Clarisse can see things thatother people in her society dont pay attention to Clarisse is also a curious person She kept on challenging Montag andasked him many questions In the book Clarisse says to Montag Are youHappy 10 She also asked Montag if he liked his job and she toldhim that if its true that long ago firemens put out fires instead ofmaking them She was also curious to know if they are allowed to readthe book that they have collected This shows that Clarisse is curiousabout what Montag thinks about the life that they liveClarisse is very happy person Unlike Mildred who is Montags wife whotried to kill herself she enjoys life by smelling flowers leaves andeven looking
