I am going to review The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein 1892 - 1973 who as most people know wrote the Lord Of The Rings trilogy but also many others such as A Question of Time and The Peoples Of Middle Earth I feel that The Hobbit is a good book to do a review on because it is perfectly enjoyable for anyone from the age of 12 to adult I have read it many times and especially enjoy reading the Fellowship Of The Ring afterwards The Hobbit is a story about Bilbo Baggins a small elf-like creature often referred as a hobbit who is abruptly taken away from his home and reluctantly drawn into a quest full of evil orcs savage wolves giant spiders and other great dangers Gandalf the town wizard and sorcerer takes Bilbo along with other homeless dwarves and goes on a never-to-be-forgotten adventure Their goal is to find the treasure stolen by an evil dragon called Smaug and give it back to who it was stolen from Bilbo Baggins is the main character in the story son of the great Belladonna Took one of the three remarkable daughters of the Old Took head of the hobbits He lives in The Shire in Middle Earth The Shire is a peaceful place where nothing special happens Everyday life is enjoyable for the inhabitants of the Shire but some might find it boring Gandalf The Grey is the town wizard he travels all over Middle Earth finding out new and exciting races of creatures and discovering new ideas for spells Everyone in the Shire loves Gandalf as he has always helped them in time of need It is Gandalf who helps Bilbo start his quest Thorin and co are the dwarves that arrive at Bilbos home and ask him to help them on a quest Thorin Oakenshield son of Tharin king under the mountain Thorin is one of the
