After reading Savage of Inequalities I was shocked and horrified at this town and the schools that children how to live and attend I hope to never see or experience this in my life If I ever had to teach in a town that had such poor conditions I dont know what I would do but I know that I would try to help them as much as I could and try to make a their learning experience a good and valuable one I really dont know how people especially the ones that run the town and its facilities get so run down To me its as if they are living in a concentration camp or a ghetto during World War II They have some of the same run down buildings poor health conditions and little education I would have never thought in a time where a chance to succeed is even greater than it was back then especially in America that places like this wouldnt exist I guess I was wrong If I were a teacher in a community like St Louis I would have a really difficult time teaching in these kinds of conditions Being brought up in a town that has a great educational system and has all the necessary resources and then some I am not used to this type of environment I just wouldnt know where to begin I guess if I knew the area and I was accustomed to it I would start by trying to make a comfortable learning area for the students If I had money to do it I would bring in my own equipment and books for them to use like the one teacher did in this article Maybe this would help some of them want to come to school and learn It wouldnt be
