A Year Without Made in China a book written about one families struggles to go a complete year without buying anything with the tags that reads Made in China Sara and her family which include her husband Kevin Bongiorni her oldest child Wes Bongiorni and her youngest child Sofie Bongiorni go through a variety of circumstances making it hard to go a complete year without buying things that are made in China Sara didnt decide to try this New Years Resolution because of reason besides experimentation and has nothing against China While this book can be both for and against the act of globalization in my opinion it is supporting more towards being for globalizationGlobalization is the worldwide movement toward economic financial trade and communication integration Throughout the whole story the Bongiorni family is shopping around buying things that have been imported from places that are not from China This proves that even though it may seem as if everything is made in China it truly isnt But with vast majority of products being made in China because of cheap labor making things available for dirt cheap compared to things made elsewhere it is rare to find objects not producedmade in China But as they buy objects that are not made in China they are befitting other counties that most products wouldnt get bought because of the higher retail prices compared to China And I am well aware that one family buying objects that arent made from China isnt going to make a huge difference but imagine if 100 people stop buying Chinese products for a whole year the significance would be much greater compared to only one family taking part It allows for other countries to produce more products and more income And that is what I believe what this book will do I think that people will try to go a year without buying products made in China to
