As I walked into the stadium I instantly became in awe The stands are jammed packed with loyal fans for our team yelling frantically at the opposing teams fans and the players on the court They are holding up huge signs with Lets Go Hornets painted in black and gold to help cheer for us I could hear the cheerleaders cheering and lifting each other to perform outstanding cheers to keep our spirits up for the game The announcers were on the loudspeaker calling out our teams starting five players I was nervous my hands were sweaty and I felt butterflies in my belly All I could think was Youve made it Now its time to give your all Starting at shooting guard for Arcadia Lady Hornets is number 14 Tyyyyyyyy Henderson I jumped up to join my other teammates in the center of the court It was time for our biggest game of the year the state championshipI was only in the eighth grade and I started the game off which made this experience incredibly special to me I was young and had not seen such a scene before Therefore I became nervous and slightly terrified I attempted to hide the feelings with a smile on my face Looking at my older teammates I could see the fight in their eyes They were jumping around whooping and hollering chants that we frequently said They were ready to face our opposing team and beat them with no mercy I sat back and absorbed it all like a sponge I couldnt believe my eyes Minutes before the game I took a final deep breath and finished mentally preparing myself for the jump-off I put on my game-face and walked to my competitionThis game meant more than just a regular ole game to myself and the team It showed us that all of the hard work that our team dedicated brought us to one of the biggest
