Before I begin the statistical part of this assignment I would like to give you a little background information on why I chose this country I figured I should stay away from the simple option which would be to pick Ontario and just leave it all to Statistics Canada to provide all the information I need in their most recent census But I wanted to do research on a place that meant a little more to me I am half Lebanese and half Bajan Barbados which is something you dont see too often and I conducted a little research on both countries In the end I decided that it would be much more difficult to write a paper on the demographics of Lebanon which is located in the Middle East just beside Syria and Israel Since there had not been a census done since 1932 Although there is not an official document with the numbers I believe I have found the closest thing to it and I will base my comparison on this and the years prior to 2013 This leaves it up to the researcher to decide what happened and what went wrong in the years in between Obviously there are a lot of things that happened to the country in this time frame like war that affected my family personally and many other reason why their population stats may be a little all over the place I think it would very interesting to see statistics 81 years ago and compare them today and see how much things have changedFirst off I want to examine the population increase in Lebanon between the years of 1932-2013 It was nearly impossible to get accurate statistics in the earlier years because of the war but with a lot of research I found digits that were close enough to represent the population back then In 1932 World War II had a great affect on Lebanons population It was
