Weather Weather is the unification of conditions like sun clouds rain wind humidity heat and cold in a certain area and point in time Weather is caused by the constant shaking of the lowest layer of our atmosphere called the troposphere The suns energy warms the basic needs of our environment This uneven heating makes the air warmer low-pressure equatorial air rise and move plowed and the high-pressure polar air sink and move towards the equator This mixing of warm dry cold and humid masses of air combined with the earths rotation speed land features like mountains or oceans and particularly the amount of water in the air determine the weather at any specific place Meteorologists Meteorologists specialize in a number of different areas For example research meteorologists study some sub field of meteorology such as tropical weather systems Regional forecasters prepare weather forecasts for portions of one or more states or provinces Consulting meteorologists provide weather information tailored for specific industrial business or government needs Broadcast meteorologists have skills in both meteorology and television or radio broadcasting This type of meteorologist informs the public of current and expected weather conditions Specialists called synoptic meteorologists analyze weather observations interpret the output of computer models and monitor weather systems Physical meteorologists study the physical and chemical properties of the atmosphere These men or women perform their work by supplying a great deal of materials to the weather forecasting service Meteorologists measure wind temperature precipitation air pressure and other atmospheric conditions They also measure chemical substances in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide and ozone that affect the climate By analyzing data about the
