PROPOSAL FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH Cancer Research Laboratories Submitted December 1999 Preface This proposal has been prepared by the Cancer Research Laboratories located in Central New York in response to the invitations for Breast Cancer research In its advertisement in the American Cancer Journal of November 99 the American Cancer Society ACS stated The American Cancer Society invites invitations for research proposals from prospective scientists who have been active in the research filed for at least the past 10 years It is expected that the proposal will be focused on Breast Cancer research which might be accomplished in two years by one or two scientists A global solution to the entire Breast Cancer problem is not our demand but progress in the field is what we desire Prospective Proposals should be sent to the Director of ACS together with the Director of National Cancer Institute January 2nd 2000 We at the Cancer Research laboratories have thus coordinated a proposal to outline why and how we will perform our research The earlier part of this proposal deals with why my fellow companion my wife and I had chosen this field and what if any progress we have made Then it goes on to inform you of our successes and failures in the research for a complete cure for Breast Cancer The second part basically tells you why we want to do research separate from any large research institution and how the two of us can actually attain the desired goal in the next two years if we are properly funded and basically what direction our research will be going in Executive Summary We all know that Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women Worldwide about 700000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and about 500000 die from it each year In Europe about 200000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in
