The Inspiration of Character is a short simple story written from the gospel of Luke in the bible This story is about a father and his two sons and the situations they face through a short period of their life The father divides his inheritance between the two sons and the younger one gathers his belongings and travels to another country while the older son stays at home with his father As time elapses the younger son loses all his inheritance becomes a citizen of another country and decides to go home because of starvation and realization of how fortunate he is at home The father demonstrates several qualities of character such as unconditional love forgiveness and optimism through every situation which are valuable aspects to endure as an individual The father has unconditional love for each son throughout this story As the younger son leaves home the father feels no hate bitterness or retaliation He lets the son make his own decision without commenting about it The father portrays equal and sufficient love to the older son who faithfully is staying at home by not favoring or catering to him more since he is the only son he presently has at the time As the younger son returns home the father is filled with much overwhelming love But when he was yet a great way off his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him Luke 1520 No matter what the situation is even through the good and bad times this father has a love that cannot be bought Another characteristic the father displays is forgiveness When the son arrives home he asks his father to make him a hired servant because he feels he has sinned and is not worthy to be called his son anymore Instead of the father arguing or condemning him he gets his servants to bring the son a robe ring
