Marie Curie also known as Madame Curie was a well known polish scientist in the 1920s Marie Curie was stubborn and determine which lead her to find many elements and discoveries which impacts scientist today that woman can do discoveries Marie Curie born with the name Maria Sklodowska was born on November 7 1867 in Warsaw Poland Maria was the youngest of five children and born with the parents named Wladyslaw Sklodowska and Bronisiawa Sklodowska Her parents were great teachers but were never wealthy Her mother will always teach her children privately at home her father will patiently teach games about geography and math Marie Curie always amazed people with her great memory she learned how to read only when she was four years old However life was not easy she faced great tragedy at a very young age Her beloved sister named Zofia died from tuberculosis After these events Marie Curie lost faith and in the age of 15 she suffered from nervous illness This let her to be tired of everything However Marie Curie continued and was determine to find a way how to study physics and chemistry In the age eighteen Marie Curie became a governess because she wanted to help her sister study in Paris France After two years teaching children from wealthy families Marie Curie realized she was not saving enough money for her sister The next three years she worked as a well- paid governess not like before While she was teaching the children of wealthy families she discovered three things she was really good at which are math physics and chemistry The Russian authorities said that they were forbidden to teach science but a chemist in a factory gave her some lessons In the year 1889 in Warsaw she returned home and her father had enough money to give some to her sister each month For another two years she was a governess and raised money
