I have met people from all over the world Greece Brazil England Australia you name it yet I have never traveled outside of my own state How is this possible one might have asked back in the 1980s My answer to this question in 2013 is the Internet In middle school I was stuck in my own world without the realization that there is something much grander out there I believe the proper title of the diagnosis is depression For three years I suffered a lack of social interaction not just with my peers but with the world and with myself After countless doctors appointments and attempts to give me medication that would make my problems disappear I turned to a path that allowed me to step away from reality I tread with caution in this unknown territory as the voices of my parents were in the back of my mind telling me of online predators and financial scams I knew what I was doing I knew I could take care of myself and to this day I do not regret exploring the strange new world My reality had consisted of the same people I had known since day one along with my classmates whom I had known since year five The world I lived in was small and repetitive becoming the reason for my questioning of what the point to living was With the utilization of the Web I was able to socialize without the interaction I expanded my awareness tenfold and my eyes were opened to information that was completely unheard of I learned about psychology and how the mind works without taking a class that there were more religions out there than the Catholicism I had grown up with about the possibilities of creativity and different types of artistic processes My bucket of knowledge overflowed at the age of thirteen It was not only just countless hours of reading new material but
