The writer of the paper believes thoroughly that alcohol has no business in the untied states period and that it should be banned completely The article in its self is a protest of the legality of alcohol and morality of its consumption The author points out the problems with being an alcohol accepting nation Such as Drunk driving overdose poisoning physical illness social problems and death in general Leading to an unstable environment that is a problem for the whole and the individual one in the same Drunk driving being a problem is also a factor for her argument Having many deaths related to it and studies showing the rate of car related fatalities on the rise the author moves for a decrease in tolerance for the drugThe definition of tolerance is up for debate as well in every day speak we would agree the author however is quite literally in favor of reinstating prohibition on a national even global scale According to the author the ban would mean a complete cease in all alcohol related problems but upon further instigation she would realize no matter how many laws passed the criminal aspect only increases More acceptance and through regulation it is controlled to a point The author is dead set on the research provided by many third party sources and the research she provides states the same effect on every aspect Drinking too much is bad this point is rendered mute by safe consumption and regulationIn moderation alcohol is not a problem only when consumed too much does its effects become negative My proposal is that we need a better understanding of why we consume drugs and why abuse is common in America instead of blaming the drug Yes like anything over use causes problems but rendering the drug illegal would only cause more If you drink over two gallons of water you will die that doesnt mean we ban water Alcohol in particular
