I have chosen a eBook source called A Human Error Approach to Aviation Accident Analysis by Douglas A Woegam and Scott A Shappell to perform my analysis This source contains a big diversity of information in regard to my topic Airplanes Reliability that is why I desired to go more in-depth with it By applying my critical reading skills as well as the technique I have acquired while reading the book Thank you for Arguing by J Heinrich have allowed me to be able to conduct a rhetorical analysis on how the authors of my writeDouglas A Wiegmann and Scott A Shappell in their book have emphasized a lot about how human error has been considered one of the main causes of aviation accident since 1950 Based on my reading I have determined that a good thesis statement for this book would be There are many airplanes safety that have been created to prevent aviation accident happening but the most important one still need to be improved I have considered thesis statement as throughout the book the authors talk about how in the 1950s were years that occurred many aviation accidents due to mechanical problems In this part we can appreciate how the authors use one of the Heinrichs tool which is the Blame as they are questioning if it was the old machinery responsible for the airplanes accidents Because of all these mechanical problems airplanes manufactures companies were forced to improve the quality of the planes as well as to create new safety procedures Unfortunately all these procedures did not completely help to prevent aviation accidents as there was still another factor that was taking place which was the human errorDue to the numerous aviation accidents that have occurred in the past and when this book was written in 2003 as we can tell it was written 2 years after the 911 made the authors to go more in-depth in regard to this
