Cause and Effect Essay on Romeo and Juliet There were many causes that aided and led to the death of Romeo and Juliet One obvious reason was the feud between the Montegues and the Capulets A second but equally important cause was the interference of others The last important cause was a variety of mistakes These all were important factors which caused the deaths of Romeo and Juliet The feud between families played a large part in the death of the two lovers Since Romeo had the last name of Montague and Juliet had the last name of Capulet they had to visit secretly They could not tell anyone of their love Juliet even said it herself on the balcony She stated Why must you be a Montague Since the families were in a feud Romeo and Juliet couldnt marry openly Tybalt did not know that Romeo was his relative Since Tybalt did not know this he challenged Romeo to a duel which is why Romeo was banished Furthermore Tybalt only challenged Romeo because of the feud The war between last names severely hampered the marriage and finally led to death However the feud was not the only cause of Romeo and Juliets deaths Interference of others also caused the deaths The largest interference was Friar Lawrence He was the one who aided Romeo and Juliet in their marriage and their deaths He agreed to marry Romeo and Juliet and not to tell anyone And when Romeo and Juliet wanted to die the friar helped them do it by telling them what to do He devised the death plan for Romeo and Juliet Another interference was the nurse She enabled Juliet to keep her marriage a secret by not telling Lord and Lady Capulet She also enabled Romeo and Juliet to communicate through her The interference of other people caused the final effect
