In remit to Colonization a Colonizer uses both good and bad methods to achieve his mission on the other hand to seek independence of the Colonizer the Colonized has to accept some form of compromise for his or her freedom In Mary Shelleys Frankenstein the Colonizer Victor Frankenstein and the monster the Colonized are obvious representations of God and Adam in the creation story Genesis Offering an explanation of what I mean by the above God breathed life into Adam and created him in his own image and likeness making God the Colonizer and Adam the Colonized and Victor assembled body parts from different corpses and made a hideous monster Thus Frankenstein somewhat is a story about Colonization however it is a story parallel to Mary Shellys life as is Genesis Shellys creator had been her mom in much the same manner that the creator of the monster is Victor Frankenstein Also a reader may derive from Frankenstein that unlike Genesis where God is unsubstantially good and man is bad Victor Frankenstein the colonizer is not always good and the monster is not always bad I will further explain what I mean by this To begin Victor Frankenstein departed Geneva his childhood home to study abroad and within the few months after he had left home and was residing overseas his mind rested an interest in science He succeeded in discovering the cause of generation and life hence set forth to create a human He reported Life and death appeared to me ideal bounds which I should first break through and pour a torrent of light into our dark world A new species would bless me as its creator and source many excellent natures would owe their being to me 933 As we can see Victor is the Colonizer and his new creation is the Colonized Besides creating species his purpose of all this is to be bestowed with gratitude by his colonized
