Mongols and Chingis KhanHistory has and always will be the views of a single person or small group of persons recorded using countless methods of reiteration This inevitably leads to the warping of the truth as it is passed throughout the ages re-written by countless well intentioned authors until we can never be sure of its true historical worth History is traditionally written by the victors but those texts written by the ones who fell a step short often times present a false interpretation of what actually occurred A man who has suffered great humiliation will inevitably try to save face by changing the facts These texts have oft portrayed various peoples in a shadowed light despite what the truth of their exploits were The Mongols are an example of this With little way to relate history other than oral repetition the Mongols fell victim to the pens of authors throughout Europe and Asia and are remembered as a vicious cruel race despite what other qualities they possess They were ruthless warriors but were much more than just a famed army Their nomadic culture was rich in traditions and religion and they were masters at assimilating an idea This is the Mongols The Mongols truly began in the 5th century when the people now known as proto-Mongol Huns began to raid the lands west of Mongolia The race continued to evolve as the Turkish Avars in the sixth century the Bulgars in the seventh and eighth the Magyars in the ninth the Pechenegs in the tenth and eleventh and the Kipchaks in during the end of the eleventh century The most famous the true Mongols or Tartars as they are incorrectly known flowed forth in the thirteenth century like a horde of locusts Led into battle by the great leaders Chingis Khan commonly GENGHIS KHAN and Ogedei the Mongols were perhaps the most feared entity throughout the world Their utter fearlessness in battle is well
