This first recording of a conversation took place in my room in Willkie Quad I was sitting on my bed while Julissa and Rebecca sat on the floor At this time we were all eating food whichwas just purchased and we were socializing with no technology except for some cell phones The analysis of this conversation centers on the rich point of equal or unequal relationships among the individuals involved and the social business When do these relationships befall a conversation Does one talk more than the other Do they interrupt each other What types of non-verbal and verbal communication occur and why All of these questions are examined in different excerpts within the sixty minute conversation These four excerpts all seem to focus around the same topic discussion and the sharing of opinions about past or present occurrences in which we all connect with In the first excerpt we converse about a girl named Alisha The talk begins with Rebeccas bad experience with her We question her stance encouraging her to continue while we add our own experiences and opinions about the girl Julissa questions Rebecca asking If its not about her shell try to ruin it Is that it After this both Rebecca and I respond with remarks pertaining to an opinion about Alisha I continue to bring up another experience we all had which helps us further converse about certain aspects of Alisha The second excerpt is focused around the discussion of two other people that we all know We confer about the relationship of two roommates and each one individually Our opinions about their actions and words are discussed When talking about Zacks reaction to Thoms depression Rebecca states Like hes in denial about the whole thing To which Julissa and I agree Julissa explains her opinion about how Zack always wants to be right about everything Lastly we discuss our opinions about the availability of healthy food I state
