Within the first week of classes starting we were assigned an assessment to find out how we learn best and varieties of different skills and attributes The assessment is called SmarterMeasure SmarterMeasure breaks down in detail and provides feedback to help improve on low scoring levels I have three areas that will be discussed learning styles individual attributes and technology typing speedAccording to SmarterMeasure which my learning styles are solitary aural and logical First solitary is so much like me I love to learn and work on a project by myself I cant stand when I am placed in a group and someone isnt listening to directions or place me to do all the work Which makes me pressured because the group isnt working together They are dependent of me to do a good job so they get the grade I provide for them Second aural is a learning style that catches jingle before they know vocabulary SmarterMeasure 2013 I can recall when I was younger I would sing or hum to something Lastly logical is a learning style is more mathematical it focuses on understanding new information rather than just remembering the basic facts SmarterMeasure 2013 I have three individual attributes are academic help seeking and procrastination persistence The academic side according to SmarterMeasure I shouldnt have any challenges academically based on my past history SmarterMeasure 2013 I see this to be very because I have been head strong from getting a higher education I remember that work on math problem books during my summer instead of playing at the park with other children my age Secondly I have had some trouble on seeking help from others I know I would ask help for homework assignments and my parents would be furious when I would get my report card for mid-term in grade school SmarterMeasure says Your score indicates that you are moderately comfortable seeking help SmarterMeasure 2013 I would disagree
