In the book No Promises in the Wind by Irene Hunt Josh and Joey Grondowski go on a big adventure Josh the older brother was 15 and his little brother Joey was 10 They leave home and go down south Both needed survival skills and they both had them Joey had good survival skills Joshs 10-year-old brother came along with Josh at the last minute But he helped Josh a lot because many people thought that he was cute and so they gave him food For example many people sympathized for him because he was young and gave him food too He could sing well and so he sang and played with Josh Last he was a good beggar because he did not have as much self-pride as Josh did Joey helped Josh survive Josh Grondowski the main character in the story also had good survival skills First he played the piano beautifully He got a job playing piano in the festival and made money that way He was also physically strong When he got weak and sick he carried on without a problem He never begged because of his self pride though Neither Josh nor Joey could have survived alone They needed to work together to get food and money For example while Joey was begging Josh might be making some extra cash playing the piano or making food They worked together as a team and thats what made them both stay alive In conclusion Josh and Joey needed each other Both also had good survival skills They could not have survived alone Thats why they were such a good team and thats why they both survived
