Prometheus understanding what the best in him isIn the final chapter of Anthem Prometheus tells us about what the best in him is The best in Prometheus is his sins and his transgressions What Prometheus came to understand about himself was I understood that centuries of chains and lashes will not kill the spirit of man nor the sense of truth within himselfpage 98 I think that this means that even though the gods and kings and everybody that tried to keep them from being individuals the spirit of freedom The people that fought for themselves to have freedom they were tired of fighting and gave up The gods and the kings couldnt stop the spirit of freedom Even though the gods and the kings thought they brainwashed and abolished freedom for ever the spirit was still alive And Even though the people all gave up what all they have won And they were told and taught to worship the word Wepage 102 The spirit of being free still was alive and the people were just trying to get the nerve to try to be free and discover what the gods and kings abolished And later some men had been born with the mind and the courage to recover the things that were lost including freedom to rediscover freedom But failed And years later Prometheus had the courage to read the first book on his shelf in his house and he discovered the word Ipage98 in the first book he read and then he realized the spirit of freedom and how the word I is individual and then he was free from the word we Prometheus now knew about all the creations of with electricity and that people should have names He found out all of the information that the gods and the kings didnt want them to know about especially
