In Shakespeares play Romeo and Juliet Juliet is a thirteen year old girl she is Capulet and she is naive Juliet has a very strong bond with the nurse who is her personal servant guardian and former wet nurse as she had a daughter Susan the very same age as Juliet but she passed away in infancy Juliet treats the nurse as her mother as their relationship is very strong and the nurse cares about Juliet a lot and thinks about her future as the nurse has been with Juliet since she was a baby Since being Juliets wet nurse the nurse has become over the years Juliets close companion confident friend mother and later on in the play her co-conspirator Juliet feels really comfortable and at ease speaking to the nurse The thoughts and feelings the nurse and Juliet express is like how a mother and daughter speak as we see in act 2 scene 4 how the nurse cares about her future and sees Romeo a Montague about how he sees Juliet as a bride In this part of the play the nurse is a co-conspirator as she disobeys her employer and thinks about Juliets feelings and future therefore Juliet gets married to Romeo In act 2 scene 5 Juliet is waiting impatiently for the nurses return with her message from Romeo the clock struck nine when I did send the nurse in half an hour she promised to return this shows how anxious she is In Juliets words you could see she is building up imagery as she says loves heralds should be thoughts which ten times faster glide than the suns beams driving back shadows over louring hills therefore do nimble-pinioned doves draw love and therefore hath the wind-swift cupid wings This shows how educated and imaginative Juliet is And how she turns into an adult minded girl When the nurse has returned with Peter the nurses servant
