Josheph Smith Ms Richard English ENGL 101 16 September 2003 Life Something More Precious Than We Realize Being a person who seemed to make the most of the great moments that life handed me I thought that I had enjoyed every second of them to the fullest From visiting with family and friends on birthdays or catching up at an annual get together there never seemed to be a moment that I didnt cherish Unfortunately these instances were viewed as the more important ones because they always came to thought first Sadly Id overlooked the important talks with my dad simple games I played with my little brother silly fights with my sister and the love and laughter my mom always used to cheer me up Its the little moments like that that seem to be overlooked until a life or death situation occurs and gives a drastic realization of just how important they are and how fast they can be taken away My harsh realization of this fact occurred to me a little over a year ago I had just graduated high school and worked part-time for Burger King to earn some money to get a car One Friday evening I went in to work dreading the normal lunch shift I had in front of me I had plans for later on that evening but more importantly I just couldnt stand the different things I put up with each day If I wasnt taking orders in the front or in the crowded much unorganized drive-thru I was in the back making sandwiches It was always so hot back there and having to put up with the greased floors for about three months now was starting to really frustrate me Not only did those factors contribute to not wanting to work that day but an unsettle feeling started bothering me About halfway through my shift I became really uneasy
