The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey is a non-fiction book that had caught my eye out of all the books in the library As I read the first page of the book I had seen something that was very appealing On the first page it said there are several habits that are perfect for teens As you may know I am now a teenager and I did need a few tips or habits from this author Secondly in the blurb there were some comments from famous companies This assured me that the book is the right book for me As a final point this book was recommended to me by Melany Reading this book is like finding the right passage to life The author taught me several lessons and these lessons would help me in the futureIn this entire book there are some important main ideas which basically summarize the whole book Sean basically talks about what teenagers should do in some situations For example when teenagers are feeling down about something They should just think positive Afterwards he speaks about how teenagers can become more independent and operative by following his seven suggested habits The seven habits are be proactive begin with the end in mind put first things first think win-win seek first to understand than to be understood synergize and sharpen the saw Being proactive is when Sean speaks about how teenagers should take responsibility To continue put first things first is when the author speaks about how teenagers should accomplish the most important things first Begin with the end means that teenagers should set goals and missions in their life in the beginning Also think win-win this means that teenagers should think more positively about situations Seek first to understand than to be understood is when the author speaks about teenagers listening to people properly Synergies mean that teenagers should work with others as a
