In the book To Kill a Mocking Bird Atticus Finch and his sister known as Aunt Alexandra both try to parent the children Jem and Scout They both have their ways of controlling the children Different ways work for different children which one is for Scout and Jem Atticus is the father of Jem and Scout Finch He is more of a carefree father He is well dressed and has important morals that he will teach his children He believes in letting his children be who they want to be He can be strict at times but usually is relaxed about his childrens situations He dresses his children well when they go to church or the courtroom but when theyre at home they wear their overalls Aunt Alexandra is the sister of Atticus and the protective aunt of Jem and Scout Aunt Alexandra is a stricter lady She believes in well-dressed and well-behaved children She is always nagging Scout for not wearing a dress and not behaving like a young lady Aunt Alexandra has good intension but over does her boundaries when she is parenting the children Atticus and Aunt Alexandra both parent the children in their own special way These two people control the children with extra care and try to help them succeed in life They have different morals and values but I feel they are trying to do what is right for the children
