I think that Egeus isnt doing the right thing by forcing Hermia tomarry someone she doesnt love If he makes her marry Demetrius thenshe wont be happy and will have to follow orders He also says that ifshe declines the offer shell be sent to death or become a widow therest of her life Egeus choice also shows that he only wants whatsbest for him and not his daughter Therefore Hermia must make a choicebetween her fathers love for her her very own life and her love forLysander Hermia will never be happy if she marries Demetrius because shedoesnt really love him He hasnt even spoken to her and wouldnt knowher passions and the things she likes Since hes wealthy and stuff hemight not have time to be with her and socialize and shell still belonely just like a nun Demetrius will probably only want her for herbody and beauty Even if they are married Hermia might still be seeingLysander in secret and even then she will not be happy by just seeinghim a little bit Hermias father has threatened her saying that if she doesnt meethis expectations he will send her to her death I dont think a fathershould threaten her like that because if she and Demetrius do wed thentheir relationship will never be the same Hes just tearing hisdaughter away from him and showing that he doesnt respect her wishesEgeus also has stated that Hermia will live the life of a nun closed inand in solitude the rest of her life I dont think that she cant everlove again just because she doesnt love the man he picks out for herHermia should be able to live a free life with Lysander without beingbribed into a marriage she doesnt want Egeus is a selfish manfather to take away his daughters right forlove He only wants Demetrius money Plus he doesnt
