Bridget's feedback:
"This is an insightful piece animated by your enthusiasm for Angelou's writing. Specific examples substantiate your claims. Your syntax and paragraph structuring (organization, flow) is logical and controlled. The diction, however, makes this a fairly bumpy read for a few reasons. The first is clarity in moments when a less precise word choice (such as "inane paranoia") makes it hard to determine if the statement is doing any analytical work. The second is more broadly regarding the purpose, as some of the diction suggests a book review giving an opinion or assessment of the book, rather than a literary analysis. It's fine to combine both, but make sure the prompt allows this and tailor your word choice accordingly. Keep in mind precision and clarity as you review the style and diction, and consider usage versus dictionary definitions (e.g., "truculent," para. 2)."
